COMET FANS IS A SUBSIDIARY BRAND OF MICROELECTRICA SCIENTIFICA that began its operation in 1975. Since 1992 has manufactured axial impellers and fans for many industrial applications.

Comet aluminum impellers come in 4 different types of construction, designed to meet many industrial applications. COMET manufactures 10 different blade profiles and three different impeller designs, resulting in one of the most extensive and efficient product ranges available on the market. The largest series can be selected for large installations with diameters up to 12 meters.
The smaller series are suitable for installation on equipment, machinery or in environments requiring ventilation or cooling and on small and medium-sized fan units with diameters from 350 mm.
MAP" and "AVP" series impellers have high efficiency and low noise blades made of extruded aluminum alloy. All "MAP" models have variable pitch paddles with a stopped motor, while "AVP" impellers have variable pitch paddles in operation. They are designed to provide precise and continuous adjustment of airflow as system thermal conditions vary. Blade pitch variation is pneumatically controlled. These impellers are supplied complete, with a rotary joint connecting to the line and a precision position valve.
Special versions of all COMET impeller series are available for critical operating conditions or particular environments.
The extensive aluminum production is supported by the "MF" and "XF" series of impellers, with blades made of fiberglass reinforced plastic (FRP-GRP-PPG). The main characteristic of these series is that they are very low noise and are suitable for corrosive environments.
Using COMET software, it is possible to select the most advantageous combination of speed, the number of blades, and the blade profile to obtain the best results in noise and energy consumption.

The "AF" and "LA" series of medium performance fans were designed to meet most industrial applications' cooling and ventilation requirements. They were developed to provide the best combination of reliability, versatility, performance, quality, environmental impact, and cost. All these products have features that make them easily compatible with the most widespread technical specifications and allow significant modifications based on specific customer requirements. Direct coupling solutions with 2 to 16 pole motors are available to suit fan performance and noise requirements. Belt driven solutions with larger diameters and selected speed are also available (see "AFT").
The "AF" and "LA" series are versatile and reliable, features that make them COMET's most successful products, suitable for the most frequent ventilation needs. COMET's "AF" and "LA" series of fans have successfully proven themselves in more than 60 countries worldwide, in extreme weather, harsh environments, and a wide range of temperatures for the most demanding operations.
These series of fans are selected using COMET's dedicated software, based on the results of a large number of tests carried out by Comet in test tunnels and real installations. The selection is based on five-blade profiles in aluminum alloy, and others in fiberglass or polypropylene, with several blades varying between 3 and 12 blades.

COMET's centrifugal fan series is designed primarily for use in critical applications where it is necessary to guarantee performance and high reliability.
The production range includes various types of fans and impeller series, based on our extensive knowledge in designing and manufacturing fan solutions. All COMET centrifugal units have been designed to achieve high reliability and versatility, and their features include a compact design and extensive customization possibilities.
Impellers with straight, curved, and profiled blades are available for all types of centrifugal fans. Also, carbon steel, stainless steel, or aluminum can be used for manufacturing always to offer the most suitable solution to the vast majority of environmental, mechanical, and noise requirements.

It is possible to supply most of COMET's fans in the ATEX certified version (Directive 94/9 / EC).The AF / AFT / AFH / AFTH / CNX series are always available in ATEX versions.

COMET carries out the design, manufacturing, and testing under the procedures established by the COMET ATEX Technical File, submitted to ICIM (ATEX Notified Body).
